My mother's father left her a S&W 17-2 Target Revolver just before his death. Unfortunately, years ago, it was lost in a house fire. I am far from an expert on this, so I thought I'd come here. I am trying to find this same gun for my mother; it being operational isn't a concern; it's merely going to be a display piece. Her version showed age and markings due to holster wear. So, basically, that's what I'm trying to find and I just wanted to know the best places to look, what I'd expect to pay, etc. A brief glance online led me to new, or like new, models, which were unfortunately, just a bit out of my price range.
