Model 18-3 info request
New member here, recently my dad passed away and i found a model 18-3 while cleaning up the house and all i know about is that its a 3 screw, and I vaguely remember him saying he bought it used from a gun shop in the early 90s. Serial number is 1k94183. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm really interested in the year specifically. Thanks in advance.
sorry for there not being pictures, cant figure out how to upload a picture from my laptop

Welcome to the Forum! You inherited a great gun! Value can be pretty high depending on condition. I see nice ones in our area going for 800 or more.

Just a reminder not to dry fire your 18-3 as it can damage the cylinder face.

One of the most accurate rimfire handguns I own. I've had two and it has been uncanny how well they hit. Enjoy!

One of the best .22lr revolvers ever made. Great trigger, great accuracy, excellent craftsmanship. Some might say the K-frames are too heavy for shooting .22s, but the J-frames just can't match the accuracy or the trigger response. The 4" Model 18 carries easier than the 6" Model 17.
