Default Date of my .38s

Would like to know the date of my guns. 1: Model 32-1 ser#119116 2" barrel blued finish Stock "R" .38S&W CTG on barrel 2: Model 36 ser#664598 2"barrel blued finish Stock "R",.38S&W SPL on the barrel. I have the original boxes, tools and literature with the guns.

The 32-1 was made from 1961 -1975. If it has a "H" prefix it was made about 1975. If it has a "R" prefix also about 1975.

The 36 "No Dash" was made from 1957 - 1967. That serial number with no prefix would be about 1967.

Not correct. The "no-dash" Model 36 remained in production until at least the end of 1987. The 36-1 in 1967 did not replace the Model 36. It added a variation with the 3" heavy barrel. Thereafter, the 36 and the 36-1 remained in production concurrently until both were modified in 1988 with the dash 2 and dash 3 respectively.
