thanks guys. this is S317756
its been awhile since i had shot a .44 magnum and it almost blew my ears clean off.
i normally just use cotton when im shooting clays... but it was woefully inadequate for the mighty .44
winchester 240gr jacketed soft points
also a fallkniven F1 that showed up the day before

Very nice. Is that a Model 12 it's paired with? I have one from the '40s with the other style forend...the hunting style...not sure what it's called.

Yes, it's a spectacular 1953 Winchester model 12 in 12 gauge. Winchester shotguns and .22s are currently my main collecting interests.

Yeah, you need real ear protection shooting magnum revolvers. Outdoors I just use ear-muff type protection which works well for me. When I'm shooting at an indoor range I use both ear plugs and ear muffs.
I also like the WWB 240-gr JSP ammo you're shooting. Good stuff at a reasonable price.
