17-4 show and tell
I recently acquired one of my "had to have it" goals , a model 17-4 , 8 3/8" barrel , target hammer and trigger .22 revolver. It came with Goodyears - I just remedied that.
Putting rounds on target - sa or da - is so easy it seems like cheating.
Serial # is 31K1048 , if anyone would care to date this piece. The price was $749 , if anyone is interested.
I am quite pleased with this acquisition ; hope you enjoy viewing.

I would date it the spring of 1979. I have 31K5780 which shipped June 79.

I have the same revolver, 26K7414, dated 1978 and just love it. Yes, mine is very accurate too, how can you miss when you're 2 3/8" closer to the target! Waveski you got yours for a great price. Can't really put a price on mine, picked it up in a trade for a 1903 MK1.

SW 17-4 with 3 T's
Mines from 1978 I believe. I shoot my 17-3 with SW wood combat grips more often.

Made my choice to own one back in '79, never regretted it.
Was shooting IHMSA "Little Critters" back then
Very accurate and well built revolver.

$248.52 .
For that modest sum you received a lifetime of shooting excellence and pride of ownership!
What a deal.

The long tubes balance and shoot so well:
I have a 27-2 long tube that is a blast to shoot long range with.
