What did I get ?

Hope this is in the right section. I won a e-bay auction for what was listed as K frame grips.

They arrived today and they are really nice diamond magna grips.

They are not K frame, they evidently N frame, with serial number 107984.

I'm into them for $108.00 which is a lot for a set of K frame magna grips, but they are really nice.

So the question is, should I ask for a refund, is the price way out of line?

I don't have an N frame that these would fit, should I keep them and find me a nice N frame to put them on?

You actually outbid me for those. I could tell they were N frames but I didn't need another set. You didn't get hurt on price at all and could sell those here easily. But a nice vintage N frame without correct grips is also a good excuse!

What you paid is not out of line for a set of N frame diamond Magnas (these date to 1954). Agree with hanging onto them to put on an upcoming N frame in your collection.

I held onto a set of N frame Magna grips for years with nothing to put them on. They won't go down in price and it is a good excuse to build your collection.

I paid $115 recently for a set in similar condition and I was very happy with the purchase. They look great , and I agree with others about finding a n frame with pachs.

If you really don't want them, list in the classifieds here for $10 more than you paid, and I bet they will be gone in a day or two.

I agree with every one that thinks you need to find a vintage N frame for those beautiful grips. I recently bought a surplus military Browning hi-power to fill a $15 British canvas holster I bought at a gun show five years ago.

Last year I had the exact opposite situation. I won a set of N-frame diamond magnas while bidding on a described set of K-frame, (with poor pictures).

I was in contact with the seller, who was very concerned with their ebay rep, and offered a credit back to my paypal account. More than fair and no waiting in line at the post office for a return. I'll find a use for them sooner or later.

I was given a 1919 M&P .38 revolver by my father around 2009. It had factory stocks, and target stocks. The gun came to me with the targets on it. They were in super shape. BUT..... they were N frame diamonds. They did not look bad on it. I gave it to my son a few years ago. The factory diamonds are for my 28, 6" no dash. Hang on to them, you will find a need for them someday! Bob
