1964 Model 57 41 Mag Price to Pay?
I found this gun at the local gun shop. It is a 1964 Model 57 41 Magnum in the Original Velvet lined case with the original bill of sale dated Sept. 1964. I would rate it 98.5 to 99 percent. What is a reasonable price to pay.

If I saw it out for $1200, I would be very tempted even though it is after Christmas and nobody has any money.

Hope you bought it! In that condition and with the Coke stocks, I would guess it's worth North of 2k.

One exactly like it just sold on GunBroker last week for a little over $3K... A 6" being sold by the same Seller brought $2500...
Both were unfired I believe.
Nice find...did you buy it?
Bob
EDIT: The screen I was looking at made it look like a 8 3/8"... The 8 3/8" sold for $3K and as stated the 6" sold for $2500.... If you can get it for less than $2K it would be a great investment especially with the original receipt...

I found S238292 a couple years ago but without box/papers/tools. Figured it was worth $1500 at the time although paid a lot less as the pawn shop didn't recognize the cokes or the fact it was a first year M57. I would think yours would be somewhere in the $2k range; maybe a little less. Enjoy.

I am thinking around 2K to 2500.00.
I might be broke after Christmas but I would find the money at 12 bills.

I paid 1700 including tax and title. Not a great deal but a very nice gun indeed.

You did very well at $1700 OTD here in CA for that package. If you hadn't bought it I can just about guarantee that it wouldn't have lasted long in any shop at ~ $1550 + tax and DROS. There are enough collectors out there that would have been on it like CNN on fake news.

Thanks for all your comments! I now feel the gun was a fairly good deal. I am very pleased with it and will be right at home with many of it relatives.
