Default Model 19 Question?

So I may have an opportunity on acquiring a Model 19 (no dash) pre-1960/around 1960. I have no way to verify all the specifics as of yet, as I don't know the serial number.

It doesn't include anything other than the revolver in these pictures (no box). It looks stunning... He informed me it was factory restored around 1963 and has hardly been fired since.

If someone was trying to place an estimate on the value what would you guys think? Any feedback?

It's a 4 screw gun so the timeframe is close.
I'd wonder why it was restored in such a short time.
It looks good to me but if restored the value is as a shooter now.

I sold one in similar condition for 900.00. I do not think mine was refinished though. Beautiful revolver. I am thinking somewhere between $700 to $750. It is good that seller told you it had been refinished. Some do not. I do not think a factory refinished revolver is hurt as bad in regards to value as a gun that was refinished elsewhere. Good luck. If buying for a shooter and beautiful work of art that would be a good price
IMO. Unfortunately it will not rise in value much higher due to the refinish. Awesome grips to BTW!

That's a beauty. I'd guess anywhere between 700 and 900.

I paid $600 for my 19-2 (1962).

and can they shoot

I'd have no problem paying $750 for that one. I wouldn't be put off by that factory restoration, whatever that means.

$850 would be the high end of fair.

I say that as the gun and grips look really nice.

That right grip has some chips in it. Along with being refinished I've have a hard time paying anything over $700.

For $900 you should be able to get close to NIB.
