Default Gun Show Find

I normally go to the local show both days. As a member, I get free parking & admission.
Saturday was very crowded, and hard to get in to tables and look. Saw a nice shooter nickel 57 for $700. Left with nothing.
I debated going back today. Much less traffic. Did see things that weren't possible to see Sat. I was walking by a table that had some nice S&W stocks. (like I need more) A customer had a set that I wanted in has hands. Seller kept asking me what I wanted to see. Did not answer him. Customer asked for a lower price. Seller said no. They went on the table, and into my hands. Don't see too many round butt targets around here. I like the looks and the feel. These were N frame. They appear to never have been on a gun. OK, so for $40, they were mine.
Can anyone tell me what era these may have been from?
Walking towards the door and spied a holster for my 10-5 snub. Was a good deal at $5. At least I left with something, and glad I went back. Bob

The speed loader cut and the silver washers combine to suggest the 1980s.

Thanks, not that it matters much. I was just curious. Will probably go on my 625JM. Bob

They look like K RB targets. Have you tried them on a N frame yet?

Once again, I believed what somebody told me. Seller said he had them on a N he had there to see if they fit. Said they did.
Tried them on my 625, and they don't. Does not matter, have a R.B. K frame. Thanks for the help! Bob

The holster for $5 was a steal for sure. That is more like something you would find at a yard sale not a gun show.

You made two great buys today. I found these smooth targets recently for $115 and didn't think twice.

I would have bought the grips too. That is if I had known there was a show this weekend.

Even though you're not 100% reliable. You do get it right once in a while.

Those are a nice set of K frame round butt target stocks.
Mod 19-3 on the bottom of the pic ...

At $40 there's a hundred bucks "left on the table" as they say, in your favor.
Those stocks are my favorite for newer K frame revolvers. (As in 80's revolvers! )
I have heard that round butt targets for the K frame are notorious for cracking around the screw when used with heavy loads.
I have had two sets that I bought cracked and sent off to be repaired but I have not had any break for me.
Having said that I only shoot .38 spl in the gun pictured above. I change those stocks out for finger grove Hogues when I shoot magnums for comfort as much as saving the wood grips.

GF

You used to have at least one nice revolver. So nice it deserved nice grips and a nice home. Guess it found the home...elsewhere!

I too like the RB targets. They fit my hands better than most factory grips.

My 19-5 with them.
