I just purchased a mod 629-5 with a 5" barrel and was wondering when it left the factory Ser # CZR48xx

I believe it's from 2015. If you have the box, the end label will have the manufacture date on it.

2015 is my guess as well. The triple alpha serials are tough to nail down with certainty using the Standard Catalog. Members here have compiled databases on their own and may be able to give you a better answer.

I believe the 629-6 started in 2001 with the internal lock. So a 629-5 would be before 2001, unless it has a lock then it can’t be a 629-5.
