I recently inherited this S&W 10-5 Nickel with 4" barrel. Any info on approximate manufacture date would be appreciated.

Serial D275XXX
Grip frame stamp letter M
Original Nickel Finish

Give it a good cleaning/oiling. Don't store it in that plastic bag..and shoot it! Nice..

Thanks for all the info!

I have it soaking in Kroil as we speak.

Are those grips original to this model?

There is some tarnishing of the nickel on the side plate. Any suggestions on bringing that back to life?
