Parts NeededModel 29-2 .44 Magnum Nickel Plated Cylinder
I overloaded a round and it made a bulge in the cylinder. That one spot won't clear the frame and am in need of a new cylinder. The problem is I can not find any nickel plated cylinders anywhere. Does anyone have this item or know where to get one. Is there any solution other than throwing gun away and buying a new one?

2 on E-bay, 1 $155, another $176, both nickel plated and both are cylinder plus crane, etc. Probably both reasonable buys to fix yours.

I'm no gunsmith, but one has to wonder that, if the overcharge was severe enough to bulge the cylinder, might not the integrity of the frame be compromised? Stretched? Torqued? Weakened? Not sure that I'd want to just throw in a cylinder of unknown origin and touch-off a cartridge that generates .44 magnum pressures.
Maybe a trip back to the mothership is called for, but there is always the chance that they'll scrap it - but that may not be a bad thing.
Expensive lesson, but far cheaper than even a small visit to the ER.
Adios,
Pizza Bob

The OP has a 29-2 which has counter bored chambers. Neither of these are for a 29-2 and neither have counter bored chambers. This would create fitting problems.
