Default Model 14-4 DOB

I recently purchased a beautiful 14-4 with 8 3/8" barrel. Would greatly appreciate if someone could give me a ballpark figure of the date of manufacture or shipping. S/N is 79K4xxx. Thanks in advance. Victor
PS. Any idea how much it is worth? 98% condition, no box.

All of the 79K numbers were issued in 1980, which makes sense for a -4 (produced from 1977 through 1982).

Victor, I bought a 14-3 with 8-3/8" barrel a few years ago. No box or papers, 98% condition like yours. Beautiful bluing. Target hammer and trigger, with non-original diamond magna stocks.

I paid $620 and have been very happy with the purchase.

Lobster Picnic. Thank you for your reply. I paid $600, basically the same as you. Love the gun. Beautiful, smooth action, and so accurate. The long barrel commands a lot of attention at the range.

Welcome to the FORUM! I have a -3, with a 6" barrel. I like it a lot. Add the extra length, (8&3/8") should be super accurate! Congratulations! Bob
