Model 27-8 Eight Shot
I am not sure if I am in the correct forum or not but please let me know if I need to move this to another.
I have purchased a S&W Model 27-8 and I was hoping to know a little more about it. When is was made and what the value of this gun would be?
I have attached a few pictures (not the best quality) that show what I have.
Thank you for any info or input from the forum.

That 's Lew Horton special run. I forgot the catalgue year...maybe 2007...someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly.
Value wise I saw a blued version complete a GB auction @ $1400 w/o the box and paperwork last summer. That particular example was wearing a rather nice set of Culina maple Coke profile grips worth about $160ish. If I recall corretly there were 150 made in blue and 150 made in nickle...maybe it was 350. Regardless, they infrequently show up for sale.

An 8-shot 357?
Now THAT's what I call a good reason for an N-frame that "only" shoots 357 magnums!
That's even cooler than the L-frame 686 Plus 7 shot 357.
And a Lew Horton special to boot!
I LOVE it.

Makes me think what my 627-5 would look like if it had a polished finish.
Yep that 8 round cylinder makes for a big gun. If it shoots like my 627 you are really going to like it.

Kind of like popping the hood on an old pickup truck and finding a chromed big block Chevrolet under there. I never knew they made such a revolver. Very cool.
