Default Model 48-4 picked it up with photos

I have the inside track on a beautiful looking model 48-4. I don't have it currently, but I have first dibs on it once the gun shop logs it & puts a price on it. It's in really nice condition. No box, papers or anything else. I'm excited at the possibility to get it. Just wanted to share.

Nice! I've got a long-barreled 48 no dash. They are real tack drivers and lots of fun to shoot. They do like to be clean though, especially under the star extractor where unburned powder seems to accumulate. If you find it starts to bind up a bit clean under the extractor with a toothbrush. I need to do it every 150 rounds or so.

I have a 48-4 with an 8 3/8" barrel . It likes most ammo but it shoots the Hornaday 30 gr. the best , you'll enjoy that long gun!

M48-3 that I got from a Forum member. Have never fired it. Probably will never shoot it. 1982 total do over. All parts are numbered to the gun except the stocks. Big Larry

Back in the day, you could get anything you wanted, just like Alice's Restaurant. They even put a 8 3/8" bbl. on a M18 for me and nickel plated it. Not so anymore. Lots of folks would like some custom work done on their guns, but I doubt they do this work any longer. I could letter this revolver, but it would letter as what it was before it was changed. It sure is pretty. Big Larry

I'm going in tomorrow to buy it/pick it up. I'll post some photos when I get it & I'm looking forward to shooting it.

You need a set of correct stocks for your M48-0. I doubt those came with that revolver. Big Larry

I was happy to see it was a pinned barrel, as I didn't remember from my brief look at it the first time. All the lockup feels good & the trigger isn't too shabby either.
