Default my 25-5

this is my 25-5 back in the day I bought a new 8 3/8 in then a 4in then one day in another gun shop I found a used 6in like new, so then I had all three. I had them for years and one day I must have had brain cell loss I sold all three. so about two years ago I got the urge for another and found this one. it ain't nice as the ones I had but it will do for now. it has a sel.no. of N8022xx I assume it is around 1980, would that be correct?

Nice Smith & photo! Wish I had an older 1, but bought a 25-15. Has the 6.5" barrel. Changed the stocks to 80's targets. Don't get rid of 25's any more. You may not come across another. Bob

S&W did not ship in serial number sequence but, based on known ship dates for nearby serial numbers, N8022XX would likely have shipped in 1981.

Nice example,

Rus

Very nice! I would like to add a 4" 25-5 to my collection. I have a 6" and enjoy it very much.

I fell in love with a S&W M25-5 4" which I wanted as a service revolver as I liked the .45 colt cartridge. HOWEVER I was $20.00 short and the rich guy behind me purchased it.

I am a member on the marlin firearms forum. I posted a photo of it on there as they love all guns just like we do over here. one member said he carried one as hid duty sidearm for the Ontario PD. he said it was loaded with 225 Winchester silver tip HP. like it needs to expand.....

Beautiful gun! I have a 25-2 in .45ACP that was cut down to 4" and I love it. Feels great in the hand and shoots great too. Congrats!

Most likely shipped around Oct 1981.
