Default It's mine forever...

Had my Model 60 laser engraved on the cylinder and side plate. Side plate has my initials...mine forever unless your initials are MAG. I like the personalized look. Polished it up and it shines nicely.

How deep is the laser engraving? Did you polish it shiny before or after you had it engraved?

the engraving is deep enough to catch your finger nail. It is not a surface engraving there is a visible depth to it. I polished it before, as well after to remove the laser "dust". A local jeweler has a laser engraving machine and a book with literally 1000's of images that can be engraved. It was not expensive because all the images are on disk and all he had to do was que up the number of the image. It took about an hour to do and cost me $70.00. Other people I contacted wanted $150 and up.

If you enlarge the second picture and look at the cylinder you will see the depth of the engraving.
