Model 65 4" K-frame
Picked this up recently and was quite surprised how accurate the gun shoots. My first revolver with fixed sights. Will post a picture when I figure out how to do it.

Congratulations, and yes, they shoot well! I have a 13-2, and 64-3. Both are heavy barrel fixed sights such as yours. Bob

I am also a fan of fixed sight handguns.
Here is my M13 4", M65 3", and a couple of my M64's 4".
A little Ruger also, just for fun!

Just picked up a 65 4 inch recently as well.
Performs like an absolute laser beam. Took it to the range last weekend for the first time and I blasted the paper right out of the bullseye. Best trigger I've ever felt on a revolver.

I am a proponent of fixed sight revolvers and pistols. I loved my model 65, and wish I had not had to sell it to buy a new semi-auto. I do not own a handgun that has adjustable sights, and won't.

A FFL dealer friend of mine had some Police trade in/surplus M-65's w/4" barrels several years ago (10 years or so). He had them for $225 each. I bought 3. They had ugly grips, were dirty, had some dings, but were tight and serviceable. They cleaned up good, and serve as a trail gun, house gun, truck gun, etc.
He also had a few 3" M-65's......I got one of those too.

I wager you are going to like 65 after a bit of shooting.

You guys are making me want to trade in my K-38/14/15/67 - but not really. Still, I would like to acquire a 2", 3", or 4" fixed-sighted K-frame before I croak.

My 65 just came back into the safe about 3 weeks ago. It has lived under the seat of my Jeep for 9 years. The Jeep got traded in and will be greatly missed.
I consider 65s pretty much, the perfect "truck gun". The pic was from back when got the gun and the holster was new. I actually kept spare ammo in a DeSantis 6 round dump pouch on the shoulder strap. The canvas "bandolier" looked cool, but nor real practical on the floor of the Jeep.

I have a growing number of fixed sight revolvers and love the clean lines and simplicity of the design.

65's do shoot great
A model 65-4 was my first fixed sight gun. I was also very surprised just how good it shot. Please post some pictures when you can. JA

Wow, that pic brings back memories. I had an '06 Rubicon in "Deep Beryl Green" with the 6-speed manual and sure miss her. Had another 06 Rubicon in "Metallic Khaki". Have a 4" 65, too! Love the Herrett's on yours, BTW.
