Default New project about to begin

Bought a Model 14-2 refinished in nickel from somewhere other than S&W years ago. Never have shot it. Cylinder feels somewhat like it has too much finish put on it. Over the years, the finish started coming off in a place underneath the grips. Looks horrible to me, but grips hide it.

Been thinking to sell it, but I think there is a better answer. Maybe I will have the frame blued again, have the stiffness looked into, and make a non-factory Pinto out of it. Would rather make something nice out of it than dump it on someone with the finish going south.

Any suggestions would be welcome. Think I will be calling someone on Monday. Pictures when I get it back. Maybe I'll like it then.
