My first 22 LR Revolver!
Hello all,
I picked up this Model 43 at a estate sale today. The serial number places it in the 1965-1969 range. I hope I didn't pay too much. It's a fun little shooter. Thanks for looking. Boats

Hey, Boats!! That's a nice looking revolver you have there. One that isn't seen very much, either!! Good for you.
Best Regards, Les

Aren't those just the berries, compared to those ugly 317s (or whatever they were called) that were supposed to be modern equivalents?
Congratulations on your new .22! Your pictures make me want to get mine out and monkey around with it a bit. I always did like that little gun, but it sure is a tough one to shoot well!

OK, now you know you're not getting away (aweigh? ) without telling us how much you paid, right?

I think that sounds fair for the condition yours is in.
How does it shoot? I've found these little revolvers surprisingly easy to shoot well, particularly in single action (although you might consider modifying the sights if black-on-black doesn't work for you).

I ran some Federal Target grade ammo threw it today with no hiccups in single or double action. It was hitting point of aim once I figured out the sights.

Nice. I size comparison photo would be appreciated. I'm not really familiar with the model 43.

It's an Aluminum Model 34, except for the barrel and small parts, which are steel, of course. Nifty little guns. They do need a little extra care in cleaning, IMO. I never use a bronze brush in the chambers, though it's ok for the barrel.

22 revolvers are extremely fun. I currently have seven, but have had as many as nine in the collection. I prefer the k-frames to the j-frames, but that's because of the trigger differences. Many prefer the j-frame due to size and weight.
