Default 10-7 snubbie

Buddy of mine is asking $500 for this. Haven't seen it in person but it looks very good in pictures. No turn line. No box. Is this a decent price?

A bit high but worth it. Mine is a great shooter and stays in my night stand as a home defense gun.

A very fair price in my opinion.

Surprisingly enough, the way of the short barreled Model 10 are leaning in the 475 - 500 mark here in southern Ohio.

Go for it. $500 for a nice 10 snubby is a great deal. Plus, you'd probably be helping out your buddy.

You want to explain to your buddy he is a little high. He may cut you some slack on the price. If not, make the decision. Bob

Beggars shouldn't be choosers - but it looks to be a square butt. Less commonly encountered AFAIK, but less desirable in my opinion. I picked up my RB 2-incher off of GB in 2015 - no box - for $450...

Only one image , but if all is original - and it sure does look nice - I would be tempted.

Nothing wrong with trying to negotiate.

Are you buying it to use,or with future sales value in mind? It's amazing to me how often in these threads, the recurrent response is "a little high" or "see if he will come down $25,or $50" or whatever. If I had let such a small amount make the difference in my buying a gun I liked,I would not have gotten the pleasure of owning and shooting so many nice guns over the last 50 years. If $50 is such a big deal, you shouldn't be buying guns in the first place. JMO,FWIW.

I just like having them. I like buying the best condition ones I can find for a good price. I've got 5 new to me guns that I haven't had a chance to shoot. 4 s&w's and a sub2000. The smiths I almost see as art.

Just one question, pssman308: Did you buy it yet?

For a 2" Model 10 in that condition, the price is right at the market. And in this case you help a buddy too.

I think I'd like to see it $450-$475 but that one looks to be in very nice condition - wouldn't fault you if you did it.

That would be snatched up quick for $650 here in kalifornia where gunbroker and on-line sales are not an option. Wish I had buddies with snubbies.

If that gun was in a Shop or Gun Broker it would probobly have a price tag for at least $650. If I was offered a Modle 10 2" for $500. in like new condition, I would be like Quick Draw McGraw with my Walet. If it was a round but I would really jump but a Square but will work. I would need rubber grips anyway.

I completely agree! I haven't fired any of my recent S&W acquisitions - although it's not that many. I have Clocks, Kahrs and Rugers to shoot - the Smith's are for ... umm ... fondling ...

That said, I am watching a two-inch 64 on the local trading site - the price is still too high for me, by over $100.

I carry a Glock every day. I could care less about the finish on it. I shoot my smiths some but only one or two of them will ever see a holster
