Thank you Torizus. By any chance, can you find what exact model is? 66-1/66-2/66-3?

Have a nice day.

Open the yoke and read the frame stamp is the quick and easy way on any numbered model S&W revolver...

Torizus, I think that I go it:
66-1 - 1977, changed the gas ring from the yoke to the cylinder.
66-2 - 1982, eliminated pinned and recessed, slightly lengthened cylinder.

Unfortunately, I do not have the revolver with me. I founded it in a gun store in Buffalo and planning to buy it.

It is almost certainly a 66-1, but since S & W does nothing in rational order () a very late 66 ("no dash") might have snuck out of the factory. Unlikely but possible.
