One more S&W Texas Rangers gun and knife set in a wooden box. Thanks.

While these sets are very nice and the Model 19 is a great revolver, S&W also made around 8000 sets like it, thus they have never taken off in value. Around $750.

In the case, complete ensemble...especially with nice wood...they bring closer to $1k+ (I'd pay that all day)

For a 4 inch model 19 in that condition I would be all over it at a price of 750 dollars. I'm inclined to agree with Breakaway, with the box and all papers in what appears to be New condition without even a turn line I think that an asking price of 1000 dollars is more than fair.

Unfortunately I'm not one who can keep a safe queen unshot so my actual preference is for Shooter grade firearms in good mechanical condition. Quite simply while I do admit to a bit of drool dribbling off my chin I just could not purchase this particular item, it's just too darned pretty.

Pretty guns shoot just as nicely as ugly ones. If nobody shot new guns we would be in a world of pain. It's like new cars: too nice to drive? Hardly..

Those are very popular. You often see the knife and / or box missing so a complete set in unfired / unsharpened / unmessed with condition will get a lot of attention. The $1,000 estimate may be on the low side.
