Default Need help dating a 19-4 snub

Hey guys, happy Saturday! I am looking at a 19-4 nickel plated 2.5" P&R and the serial is 87Kxxx

Could anyone help with a build date? Thank you all very much.

And to get clarification on the "forcing cone" in the model 19's, would a steady diet of over the counter magnum rounds and 38's be ok for her?

Jared

Looks like 1980. Mod 19's were made to shoot a lot of 38's and carry 357's. The K frame was never intended to handle a majority of .357's, they will shoot a little loose.

Great revolvers. Stick with 158gr magnums and you'll have nothing to worry about.
