Default K Frame 22LR Cylinder value?

LGS called me yesterday about some items a lady brought in from her husbands estate. I had bought several firearms from that consignment. At any rate wound up with 2 Model 52 Magazines and a 22LR cylinder for $75.00 that the LGS thought might be for the Model 53 I bought. Turns out it is not. Serial number on the cylinder is 6K6450 so I think that makes it a 1974 for a 17-3/18-3? Very good condition complete with extractor and rod very slight turn line and great bluing. I have no use for it so am wondering what it might be worth and what it would fit.

You should remeasure the cylinder length to determine if it is actually a Model 53 cylinder .
S&W discontinued the 53 around 1974 but they stopped serial stamping the cylinder face way before that which leads me to believe this was made to go with a specific partner gun,
While there is a chance it was special ordered as a partner to a .22 Magnum that is uncommon where spare .22lr cylinders for the Model 53 was a factory option.

Big difference in a run O the mill K-22 cylinder and a M-53 spare .22lr cylinder .

It is not a Model 53 cylinder, about 1.620, same as my K38. My Model 53 which has a 22LR cylinder is about 1.670. Definitely a K frame 22LR cylinder. A Model 53 22LR cylinder is made of unobtainium..

Figured I hit the jackpot on the Model 52 mags anyway, getting an extra Model 53 22LR cylinder would be to good to be true. I have no need of it so wanted to get an idea what it might be worth.

In the early 1970's they would stamp the serial umber on the parts when a revolver was sent back to S&W for a refinish to ensure they got back to the correct gun after refinishing, If the cylinder is K-22 length it may have been a refinished part for a K-22.

Guessing if in high condition maybe $75 to $100 ?
Problem is the serial stamp makes it less desirable to someone that has a blemished cylinder and wants a swap in unit.

I keep an eye out for cylinders and have been looking for a K 22 cylinder. Not many go for under $100 even with some blue wear.

Several people have been looking for K22 cylinders to drill out and create .32's .32 H&R Mag, .327 Fed from. It's been known to be used to "create" a Mod 16.
