Default Model 36

I have a .38 S.&W SPL. It is stamped as a MOD 36, serial number is 844XX below that is stamped E2. Wondering what you guys can tell me about it. Manufacture date, is it collectible and what is the approximate value. I've attached some pictures.

ADK0152 (if I'm reading the digits correctly) is the serial number. It falls somewhere in the 1983-85 time period.

The Model 36 (no dash number) was made until 1988.

The numbers in the yoke area don't really mean anything. E2 is a fitter's mark and the five digit number is a parts tracking number used during assembly.

It looks to be in very good shape, but it's a bit young to be collectible. I use a blued Model 36 of about the same age and condition as my EDC gun and don't consider that part of my collection. Paid $450 for that one like new in the box some years ago, which was on the high side, but the gun was conveniently available. The nickel may be worth a premium to some people, but I am not sure it makes the gun collectible per se.
