Default Went to buy a model 10 snubnose. Came home with this.

I went to buy the snub I posted about a week or so ago and my buddy offered this at the same price. I'm a sucker for a 4in 19. I'm still gonna get the stubby in a couple weeks lol

Nice Combat Magnum. I don't own but a couple of 19s, albeit the snubby version for both. I also have a square butt 10-5 snubby.

Hope the 10 snubby is still available in 2 weeks!

Nice 19! It would be hard to turn down. I went to the local gun show Sat. & Sun. Was there for a 44 magnum. Saw other stuff that I could not resist. Saturday, I bought a super clean 66-2, 2.5". Sunday, traded into a 686-6, pro adding not much cash.
I was not looking for either. Bob

The best of both worlds. A beautiful 19 and a snubby still to come.

19-4. More than likely 79 vintage. My other 19-4 is a birth year revolver.

I am SO GLAD to see younger guys on this Forum! It gives me faith that revolver-love won't die off with my generation. When I was a boy, S&W hadn't even begun to think about using model numbers on its hand ejectors . . .

We could all use some more buddies like that. One of mine has a 3 inch 66, but he won't part with it. Guess I can't blame him.

Yep - nice 19 and a snub on the horizon! I was in a similar situation I.E. wanting a 4" 19 (again) and another snub but they came to me at the same time with the M66/M60 package deal I made a while back!

Unless that snubby M10 is a round butt, that M19 will do everything the M10 will do and MORE. Butt shape dictates how well a revolver conceals much more than barrel length. In fact, a 4" barrel revolver in a pancake holster hides better than a 2" because the longer barrel presses against the hip and pushes the butt towards your side. A square butt snubby kinds flops around and tends to stick out.

I carry a Glock every day but I love Smith revolvers. I guess I can thank Dirty Harry movies for that. You can't beat the rich bluing and the smooth action on them. I just wish Smith still made them like that. I've bought 2 new ones and was terribley disapointed with the fit and finish on them.

My model 69 conceals well in this pancake holster, even with the Fastfire optic on it:

But for concealment and fast access in light weight Summer dress nothing beats my 360PD in ISW Appendix carry:

Made in 1979.

The 4D serials from 1979 ran from 4D90001 to 4D99999.

4D1 through 4D90000 were issued in 1978.

Ship dates can always be later than manufacture dates.
