Default Need help ID'ing some grips please ...

These grips are numbered 40253 and came attached to a late 1960's model 36. I love 'em, even though they're not original to the gun. Anyone know how old they are? Looked in the "grips" section in the front of the SCofS&W and didn't see any like them. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I own four guns in the 40xxx range. All are Model 35s shipped during Mid 1959

Those diamond square butt magnas are nice to have extras of.

Looks like Paplinker nailed the year for you on these square butt, rounded shoulder diamond magnas that have such a nice aged look to them. As you might know, the shoulders on the magnas became gradually more rounded over the production years, compared to the earlier ones from late 40s that had a sharp shoulder ("shelf") as well as a bit more extensive checkering. I guess whoever put yours on the 1960s gun thought highly of them as well, with good reason! Nice looking classics!
