New gun day!! Model 14-4
Just got this today from gunbroker.
Had the shop I pick up from check it out. Gunsmith loved it enough to make an offer.
Bluing is 99%, lock up is tight. A little cylinder play side to side, not bank-vault tight my others. But still very good.
EXCELLENT trigger. I think it needs no work from me.
I added the orange nail polish to the front sight and have been dry firing it a lot.
Shooting it tomorrow.

Very nice. I believe you will love how that K-38 shoots.
Yours very likely left the factory with stocks like these. This is a Model 14-4 made in 1980. I purchased it when it was brand new.

Yeah. Great guns.
I haven't done a count, but here are a few that live in my safe. Not all of these are Model 14, but they are all K-38 Masterpieces.

Well, you have me beat on one point. Yours has the standard trigger and Magna stocks. Rather cool. All the -4s I have or have owned came with target stocks, and all but one had the target trigger. I'd actually like to add one from that period that has no Ts.

Nice! I picked up this 14-4 last year. It hasn't been fired
much, and came with original box and docs. I just need to
find a cleaning tool set off of Fleabay. Haven't shot it yet.

Jack,
While I'm sure I'd shoot better if it sported target stocks, I think my reasoning at the time of purchase was that the three "no T's" matched the K22 my Dad gave me. He purchased it as soon as he came home from the Pacific theater after the war.

I just got back from shooting my 14-4.
Drove 30 miles and forgot my target stands!! It was too windy to rig up something out of branches and tape, I tried. So I shot junk and other peoples left over targets.
Someone also left a few clay pigeons at 50 and 100 yards, I was able a few at 100 yards, very impressive gun. This gun likes my reloads.
(158gn LRN over 3.5grn of Bullseye, 1.400 OAL. Chrono has them at 820FPS average.)
Still, any day shooting is better than not shooting.

Update: I was inspired with the nice target grips on the above
posted 14-4 pictures. I then realized I had a set and dug them
out, along with the original receipt. Finally got the right K-38
for the grips after 31 years. Oh yeah, check out the original
price.
