Default Elvis sighting!

Maybe I just dreamed it, but I was responding to a thread re: Elvis S&W pistol. When I hit the send button it indicated an error. I copied my post and went searching for it and poof! Gone.

Perhaps this is an operator error on my part since I can never find anything I'm looking for with this search. Example, I search for 66-1 and it tells me no results??? Huh?

Perhaps it violated policy because it mentioned an auction?

Regardless, in case anybody else saw the thread in their dreams as well, my thoughts that took me all evening to write since I was constantly interrupted all night...

The auction listings include letters of validation, one of which states that Elvis had the work done on the pistols and gave them as gifts. Nice gifts. I didn't see what they were originally sold for to Elvis. I'd be interested to see how the guns have appreciated in relation to other Elvis memorabilia like cars, watches, etc. It will be a very valuable legacy for somebody.

I agree with you that it reflects his tastes strongly. Whether that is shared by one or not, you have to be taken back by the apparent quality of the work.

Just adding a couple of thoughts on his pistols, not my intention to revive a deleted thread if that's what happened.

I learned when you use the search feature you MUST use the very top box,"search site/Google" not the "search forums" box,or you won't get any results. Strange but true..
