Provided it is mechanically sound, I sure would. Of course be it me, the rubber grips would have to go. I paid $395 for mine around 5 years ago. No box, or papers. They are good shooters. It is my wife's favorite. Bob

I got a mint 67 no dash on gunbroker for $275 Buy It Now price about 2 years ago. Auction was less than 15 minutes old. One of the best deals I ever got. It's wearing Crimson Trace grips on it now and it is the wife's house gun. She's not into guns and getting her to hit the target with the laser was much easier.

Probably not a deal, but a decent price. The stainless rear sights point to it being one of the earlier 67. After complaints of PD having trouble seeing the sights well, S&W changed out the rear sights to black/blued.

Default My 67 No dash

Here is my S&W model 67 no dash. Got it about 10 years ago.
It was quite badly pitted, so I had it bead blasted. I like the
finish. You know of course, the 67 is the stainless Combat
Masterpiece. You will enjoy it long after you forget what you
paid for it.

1st & second photos both sides of model 67.

3rd from left riding in El Paso Saddlery Threepersons.

4th from left in a carved Threepersons with "dog ear" by
Oliver Ball.

5th from left Myres model #624 with safety strap and "dog ear".

P.S. The grips are Uncle Mike's combats designed by Spegel.
I like the contrast of the black with the silver and I like the
fit and feel of these grips.

Default Model 67 No Dash

My Model 67 No Dash came with the blued sights. It also came with numbered Magna grips which I still have but in these photos is wearing Hogue grips.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds that the 67 is not really held as high as the model 15, I have to re-think this purchase. I thought it looked good, felt good and, I don't have one in my safe. I had the thought that the first model of this series was a worthwhile keeper. Oh well, can't miss what I never had. I guess I'll pass on it.

Who here said the 67 is a lesser gun than a 15? It is every bit the equal, plus there's no worry of bluing loss and much less worry of rust. Holster wear? Not with a stainless gun. I don't even holster my two blued smiths. Stainless? No worries.

When the Model 60 came out, the stainless twin of the Model 36, demand was through the roof and people waited months and paid double MSRP for them.

I agree. The Model 67 is one of the real sleepers out there. I love any gun with barrel curves!

Default Model 67

I would jump on a chance to own a Model 67 with S/S sights for $450. I have both a Combat Masterpiece 4 screw and a S/S sighted 1972 model 67 and they handle equally well. Both have service grips, the 67 with a Tyler T grip adapter. Others no doubt will not agree with me, but these classic handguns don't come around very often.
Best of luck Jackcap

Too bad it has the rubber grips, but $450 is not a bad price. The 67 is a great revolver. You won't regret owning it.

I picked up my 67-0 locally about 7 years ago. It didn't have
the original grips, but had a trigger job. Paid $300 for it face
to face. The double action trigger pull is like a Python, and it
is very accurate.

Sounds good to me. The only reason I'd prefer a Model 15 is I just like blue guns better.

But I wouldn't look down my nose at a nice 67 either. Especially a no dash with SS sights.

I got my no dash M67 two years ago for $425. Like the one you are looking at, it was no box, ugly wood grips, and a bit of honest wear. Since I was looking for a good shooter and not a collectable safe queen, it was exactly what I wanted so I gave it a good home. Another $30 for period correct S&W magna grips and I'm a very happy camper! One of my favorite Smith & Wesson revolvers.

Under $450 is a good deal even if it's not a steal. Buy it!

The 67ND is the same gun as a M15 except for the finish. Kind of a chocolate or vanilla argument. I bought one out of a LGS about two years ago. He had $450 on it and gave me a fair price on a NIB Henry lever action 22LR trade in. I certainly don't miss the Henry.

My 67 hadn't been fired too much and came with its original numbered Magnas. Probably someone's nightstand gun. It's a great shooter as are almost all K frames. The sights are kind of a dark or matte SS so they are not as reflective as you might think. The 67ND is a nice complement to my two 10-8s (nickle and worn blue) and 14-4. Still looking for a nice 15, but I'll take a K frame as I find it.

I agree. Have you looked at the GB prices? I don't see any mint ones for under $600 or even good ones under $450.

One more voice to offer advice that you do, indeed, buy this revolver. Not seeing anyone denigrating a 67 over a 15. Same gun, different steel is all. 67's are as perfect as a 15. Try not to overthink the matter. Go, NOW. Get it and you will not regret it.

Update: Picked the 67 up today. Not too bad, I don't think it has been cleaned in 20 years I'll be busy for a few days just cleaning. Ran a patch through the bore and cylinders when I got it home. Loaded it with some 148 DEWC with 3.6g of HP38....that 67 is right on! Here are some pictures of this fine revolver, it may not be a gem but it is a Smith.
Have to research it's birth date. I'll post new pictures
when it gets cleaned up with the proper grips.
