Default This may have become an obsession

Picked this 28-2 up today. Wasn't even looking for one. Couldn't pass it up at $550. Can someone give me it's birth date? N591xx

Better picture. It still has number matching black washer grips.

Likely 1971.

Obsession? What obsession? (Photo of 30 bazillion N frames to be posted here, organized in neat racks by model number/barrel length/caliber/finish...)

Enjoy!

That's a very nice gun, and I think you should keep on "not looking" for more.

It's a great revolver.

One of S&Ws best.

Those in the know love these.

Nice choice. IMHO no S&W shooter should be without at least one 4" Highway Patrolman. It is a classic S&W revolver; very reliable, nicely balanced and a joy to shoot.

I myself could not turn my back on 1 like it for that price. I have a 6" no dash. Always wanted a 4". Enjoy shooting your new Smith! Bob

Congratulations on the pick up of a great S&W 357 Magnum Revolver. I have one and it's one of my favorites.

$550? That's an $800 gun here in Kalifornia where buying out of state is not an option. 4 more years until I retire....

Very nice looking 28-2 HP. It's so strange that these utility guns have reached almost cult status. Strange until you've taken one to the range.

Nice 28. A buddy of mine just picked up one. But, they didn't give it away.
