Default Model 36 Grip Fitting Question

Hi all! I have a chance to buy a Model 36 no dash I dated between 1979-1980 based on the serial number. Does anyone know if S&W was still custom fitting grips at this time or were they already going with the standard "one size fits all" grip? I appreciate any info out there! Thanks!

EDITED TO ADD: Found the answer and they weren't fitting grips at this time period.
