Buffalo horn grips
Anybody buy a set of $30 buffalo horn grips off of eBay. $30 seems cheap to me for genuine horn but maybe I'm wrong. If you have post some pics n tell what you think. I'm thinking bout getting some for my model 10.

I would guess those are faux. Remember if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. OTOH Altmont makes a very nice silver black wood grip for $28.
Check their site, some of their examples are darker than others. You could call them and ask for a darker set.

Well, you guess wrong, they are real Water Buffalo horn.
It is an auction, that is the "starting bid", not a Buy it Now! Most of them haven't had a bid placed and you might get lucky and get them for that price if you're the only bidder, but they could go to hundreds of dollars too, depending on how many want them, and how bad!

I bought a set of Bisley buffalo horn grips for a stainless Ruger SBH. They were outstanding. Don't know if it's the same guy you're talking about but it was flee-bay.

Yes. They start at 30 auction. Claim to be genuine buffalo horn. I think I'll bid on a set and see where they go. Maybe I'll get lucky. The pictures they show seem to be generic. Id like to see some pics of some. Hint hint

Bought a pair off the net from some "chinaman" or something for $30.00.
They were alright, but I din't like them. Sold them for $50.00.
Guess I can't complain.

Are they from Kimson Handicraft? I've been looking for buffalo horn grips for my K frame and they're one of the only sellers I could find. Not very expensive, would love to know if they're any good.

They look like laminated wood grips to me. I could be wrong.
