Default Variants of the Model 36T and Model 50

My area of interest in S&W collecting is everything 1950-1990 Pre-Locks only, I now have on my short list a chiefs target model in .38 and need to understand a few fine points related to what is more desirable in one's collection, I see a 36-6 on GB with 3" barrel and in great shape, and am not sure this is the same variant as the model 50 stamped,,snub nose The gun broker 36-6 dates to 1989 28 years ago and the Model 50 is 40 plus years old, so I'm trying to figure out which if either is more desirable to a collector of Post WWII S&W's, a newer 36-3 with 3 inch barrel or a snub nosed stamped model 50 condition being consistent? Thanks for everyone's help

Both! I had a chance in the early 70's to get a Model 50 and passed on it at the retail price at the time. I also had a 36-6 that I picked up but like a dummy sold it for $650. I wish I had kept that one! It was in original box with all the goodies. I'd buy a shooter 36-6 or a 60-4 if I could find one for a shooter price not collector price.
