Default Mint 36 no dash with box , also 3 in 629 no lock

I went to a shop today not looking to buy but I saw a mint 36 no dash with the blue twp piece box for 349. I took it home also a mint 629 maybe a dash 5 or 6 with 3in barrel and wood finger grips no lock looked like a 686 almost with box for 639 should I get it also. I did get a 4in 629 no dash a while back for 629 bucks and it was my old gun I had and sold some time ago . What should I do on this 3in 629 no lock .????????????????

Buy that 3" 629. I have one and it is one of the best shooting revolvers I have ever owned.

I cleaned the 36 no dash all up , checked the grips are numbered to this gun and have the blackish blue washer things on the back , gun looks like never fired , I got out my old but like new Safariland open top J frame holster and also a Bianchi upside down shoulder rig new in the bag I had for years . I can not bring myself to start to carry this thing when I have a Shield 9mm and Glocks . What should I do with it even if I fire it and carry I will get more than I paid ???????????????????

Well - if you can't decide what, or what not to buy and whether or whether not to shoot them when you do, I think you should send me all those dang confusing revolvers and start the more relaxed & fascinating world of stamp collecting. (GRIN!).

Did you buy it because you liked the gun - or the price? For me, I don't enjoy shooting Chiefs an awful lot, but I do it from time to time just for "something different." I'd hang on to it and continue along with your Shield for everyday use, but that's JMHO. It's always nice to have a Chief lying around to admire when the mood strikes you.

"a mint 629 maybe a dash 5 or 6"

The pre IL -5 will have MIM parts and frame mounted firing pin.

A -6 will have the IL.

IMO,a 3" -1,-2,-3 or -4 would be the the ones to look for with the -4 probably the best dash.YMMV

No this place gets stuff in from family members who pass away kids dont want it . I run into P38s and Lugers that are bring backs from time to time also. I like a J frame and had them through out the years and kept holsters and speed strips , the price was right for one still with the box and everything . They had Colt New Frontier 22s for like 529 with boxes . I did get a Ruger Old model S/S 22 4.5/8 22 mint with 22 mag cly 349 I ran with that one .
