Default Question

Some of the firearms I have been looking for are a 27-2 5", a 27-2 3 1/2" and a model 58. That would finish out the revolvers I have always wanted.
Then a friend went shopping for ammo and mistakenly bought a box of .45 LC. He doesn't have one and said I could have the ammo if I did.
So now I have to get a model 25. Darn.
Question is, I have seen some info that S&W had some throat issues with some of the 25's. What dash number were these problems resolved with?
Thanks.

While I am certainly no expert I understand that the 25-5 was the one with the throat problems. I would imagine any 25 in .45LC in any other dash number would be fine. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong as I have considered a 25 in .45LC for quite some time.

If you use the search function you'll find quite a few posts about the Model 25 throat issue. My limited experience suggests those over N900000 have the correct throats. However, I would not hesitate to buy any 25-5 if the condition and price are right. Three of the four I own have oversize throats and all four shoot fine; no discernible difference for me in group size with my reloads. Good luck.
