It didn't shoot (or now look) like a $200 gun.
I got this 67 no dash as a throw in for $200 when I bought a H&R at a local pawnshop. The gun had been in the shop for a long time and I guess they were having a hard time selling it because it is a .38 and not a .357. Good mechanically in the shop. Lots of carry wear that I am going to try to FLitz away what I can. The gun shot just like you would expect an experienced K frame to shoot like, smooth and accurate.

We should all be so lucky to stumble into a deal like that once in a while.

I should be so lucky as to buy a Model 67 for $200.00. For those that don't know, a Model 67 is the stainless steel version of the Model 15. They didn't call the Model 15 the "Combat Masterpiece" for nothing:
Smith & Wesson Model 15 - Wikipedia
Congratulations on a good buy.

Dave

Not to mention it is an early (silver) stainless sight version. It should polish back up to factory new with some elbow grease and patience. Enjoy!

Its a deal when you get a 67 no dash for that price. Two years ago I found one but was not looking for one but bought it anyway. It has become one of my favorite range guns. I will sometimes carry it because I shoot it well. My gun is a 67-1. I think the K frame is a fine revolver.
I'm still shooting one my Dad gave me on my 18th birthday, that gun has never been bask to the factory. Many good years of shooting. Its an old Combat Masterpiece. I believe this is of 1950 vintage.

One of the most accurate guns I owned, and carried 35 years ago was a 67. It was capable of 3/4 inch groups. I used to show off with mine at the dept range shooting weeds down that popped up an the backstop.

I love it when a pawn shop doesn't know what they have!

I have owned and shot a lot of Smiths over the years, and I have never seen any model of 4" .38 Special S&W that shoots as well as the 67's. The 15's come close, but for some reason, the 67's have always shot a little better for me. You got a super deal.

Congrats! I paid twice that two years ago for a 67 no dash and thought I got a great deal. Yep, K frames are great shooters and I have no problems with .38 spl. The nice thing about stainless is it will polish up.

Just to add...
"I got this 67 no dash as a throw in for $200 when I bought a H&R at a local pawnshop."
I have nothing against H&R products, but the Smith & Wesson was the throw in? Sounds fishy to me .

Agree! Carried one on duty for many years. Most accurate revolver I ever had. Traded mine for a Model 65 3 inch, but wish I still had that Model 67.......

Well did the thorough deep dive clean and Flitz this morning. Interior mechanicals were extremely clean but very dry. A little clp took care of that. Some flitz and a buffer on my drill really cleaned up the stainless. It is not a LNIB safe queen but it doesn't look at all like a $200 gun either. I love fingergroove combats and had a pair that were unused.

If I were a local cop I would be asking to see your license to steal. I would also say you got the 67 for $200 and the H&R was thrown in just to get rid of it. Fantastic job bring her back to life.

I have the blue version (Model 15-3) and love it. It is one of my
favorite S&W's. At 200.00 you stole this one.
