Default Sweet Altamont Grips on Model 60

I have had a stainless Model 60 snub revolver with 2.125" barrel for several years, and it is hands-down the finest little gun I have ever owned. Forget the SP101--that's a tank, and the 60 is a Porsche! It has been my primary carry gun for several years in various modes, including a Kydex IWB holster with the curved rubber grip that came with the gun, or a shorter "boot" grip for better concealability, and most recently with the DeSantis "Clip-Grip" hard plastic grips that let you tuck the gun in your waistband without a holster. Great product. But it only provides a short two-finger grip like the rubber boot, so unless you have an iron grip, you'll want to carry .38 or .38+P loads to keep control of the gun. I want to carry full magnum loads, so I want a good full grip. The black rubber grip that came with the gun has finger grooves and is very ergonomic and comfortable. It fits the bill just fine. But I wanted to try something different. I stumbled upon Altamont Grips, and saw that they had a "conversion" grip that fits a J-frame round butt revolver and basically turns it into a square butt profile. I got the Altai Rosewood grips with snakeskin checkering, and WOW! The polished wood finish with the gleaming stainless steel makes a sexy package. The fit and finish is perfect. Very well made with 2 pins assisting in making a solid fit for the two halves--it was like they made these grips just for my gun. It's beautiful, and gives the snub a whole different feel. I'm now carrying it in an IWB leather clip-on holster, and I couldn't be happier. Clipping it on is like snapping a Rolex on your wrist before you head out for the day.

This, sir, falls into the category: Didn't Happen ... unless you post pitchers ... My Altamont's fit my 640 almost perfectly - there is a little gap on top, in the back, that I could prolly fix with a little bit of filing ...

When I click on the little box just below the OP's text, a picture comes up.

Nice grips, btw.

I can't see any box or picture, but I agree with the OP about the Altamont grips. The top right gun in the pic has the Altamont grips.
