You can look on eBay. You might find one there.

Once you find one, ensure the mounting screw location is in the proper place for your particular gun. The screw location changed at least once over the years.

Did you check all the usual suspects?
Midway?
Numrich?
Brownell?
A "WTB" ad in the Classifieds here?

I have checked EBay, and all the usuals. Nobody has it anymore. S&W does not make it any more. And Browning has no replacement. Desperate!

If nothing else, you can always buy yourself the Bowen Rough Country replacement sights. They are pricey but should fit your needs if you can't find an older set of S&W sights.

snork,
As best I can measure, the sights on my M27-2 and M28-2 are the same dimensions. the M28 sight is unique in that the top is smooth whereas other S&W revolver sights are either grooved or checkered. This makes a correct replacement for the M28 hard to find as you have discovered. If you need a complete rear sight assembly to get your M28 back to shooting condition, consider an "incorrect" sight from another N frame from the same time period with the square front tip. it won't be factory original but it will give you a functioning rear sight until you can run down the proper sight.
