Talking Identification of a 627-1

Hey S&W forum.

(I hope this is the correct sub-forum, i have no idea of when my gun is produced..)

I just fell in love with a :
S&W 627-1 "Target Champion"
N-Frame.
.357 Magnum.
5 Inch barrel.
Tuned by PC.

Serial # : CBZ2399

Any information on it would be much obliged.

Additionel "info" :

Im in love with this "thing" of steel.
Just the weight and feel of it makes me happy.
Amazing what a quality revolver can make you feel.
The trigger is SMOOTH, DA action is a easy, smooth pull and it goes off.
The SA action is amazing... Really it is.. I have tried expensive Korth revolvers, Colt pythons and it just blows those out of the water.
I tried a Colt KC 6" at the shop and i had to put it away instantly.
The funny part about this story, is that i went there with the intent of buying a Colt KC 6"...

Well, i have to look at the pictures for some time before i actually get it home.
We have some crazy waiting period laws on guns here.
With a bit of luck, it should be about 6-8 weeks before i can up pick it up at the store..

Thank you for any info you can tell me.

One last thing...

Please tell me that ive made the correct choice..

According to the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson 4th Edition, your gun appears to have been made in 1997. You would probably have better luck asking for additional info in the 1980 to Present forum for this gun.

As far as making a good choice: That really depends on how you feel. Personally, I really like N Frame 357s, but there are those who prefer a J or K Frame instead. If you enjoy shooting it, and it makes you happy, as far as I'm concerned, you made a great choice. You could do worse...

EDIT: I am a little confused now... The same photos shown here are also attached to another post by another member in the 1980 to Present Forum discussing an oddball 627-2. OP: did you borrow the photos from another post, or is this in fact the same gun?

EDIT 2: I see what happened here... I see that you posted the same photos into that thread. Nevermind...
