Default Got Lucky Today!

Saw a model 66-2 advertised today on Armslist. Said 2.5" Barrel. Was hard to tell with picture but looked a little longer than my 2.5". Took a chance and drove 2 hours and negotiated a price on the way. Seller was motivated. Price would have been fair if it was a 2.5" but when I got there it was indeed a 3". Been wanting one for a long time. Sadly original Grips were not included, but looks better after a quick change. Can't wait to punch some paper. Sorry, just realized put in wrong category.

Nicely done! Same thing happened to me at an auction, nobody realized it was a 3"... and I snagged it for $465. Cleaned the surface rust off the Stainless and it was almost like new. Of course it wasn't a .45 so I eventually sold it, but it was a very fine shooting revolver that I wish I still had. Enjoy that one

Perhaps the seller measured from the barrel meeting frame to barrel muzzle. Then it probably is a 2.5".
