N Frame calibers?
I'm probably the only one who goes for the set who knows. I have the n frames in 357mag, 41mag, 44spec, & 44mag. How many of you do the same thing?

Most of my N-frames are chambered for 357 Magnum, 10MM Magnum, 41 Magnum or 45 Long Colt. The 44s do not particularly appeal to me, though I do own a few.
If you are trying to get a modern N-frame in each caliber, you are missing 22LR, 9MM Parrabellum, 38 Super, 10MM Auto, 45ACP and 45 Long Colt. Possibly others that I can not recall at the moment

Over the years, N frames have also been chambered in .22 LR, 9mm, .30 caliber carbine, .38-40 and .44-40.

I have N frames in 357, 41mag, 44 mag, 45acp and 45 colt, one of the 45 colts is a TL that is a reamed 455 that will still fire 455s. Only 1 41 mag and 1 44 mag. I have multiples of the rest. My 44 special are all 5 shot L frames.

Who's got a 22lr N frame? Did it come with a matching 22 mag cylinder or is that round too powerful for an N frame?

.357, .44Spl, and .44Mag for me.
Would like to add a .41 for sure. If I were to stumble into a 10mm I'd get it just for rarity sake if the $ was right.
There's a nice .38/44 for sale locally, but out of my price range at the moment.

For some finding one of those guns in 30 carbine would be one of the S&W holy grails, I believe I read that the factory did several of those. There is also the custom wildcat 357 Bain and Davis, a 44 necked to 357.
I "think" the factory list is
22lr???
30 carbine
9mm
38 special
38/40
10 mm
41 mag
44/40
44 special
44mag
45 special
455
45acp
45colt
What did I miss

My meager N frames amount to, 28 no dash, (.357) 625JM (45ACP) & 25-15 in 45 Colt. Do like them though! Bob

In addition to the one .22 LR N frame built as a custom Registered Magnum there are rumored to be a few .22 LR First Model or Triple Locks. A member posted that he had one but did not post pictures.
.38-40 Triple Locks are so famously rare that I'd wager a nice one would be the most expensive S&W that we have had pictures posted of.
The .30 Carbine N frames were famous prototypes.
I keep an eye out for any one of those at garage sales. Wish me luck.

The 22LR was never a "production" model.
