If I am reading the "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" 4th Ed. pg. 55 and observing the inside of your box correctly, then your box would be 1969 - 1974. It was the only box with the "gun faced both left and right". The others mentioned in the book indicate the gun was facing to the right. Of course, if you turn the box 360 degrees - well it faces to the right. LOL
