Smile A. A. White Award...1975

This sterling silver belt buckle was awarded to the best display of engraved revolvers at the antique arms show in Hartford, CT in 1975. Alvin White engraved the buckle and also engraved a Rampant Colt on it since the award was usually won by a Colt revolver. However, in 1975, Roy Jinks displayed some master engraved and inlaid S&W revolvers and won the award. He was always proud of his award with the Rampant Colt logo. I purchased the buckle in Concord on Saturday at the annual symposium of the S&WCA in Concord, NC. It was donated by Roy Jinks who also told us of its history. I am very pleased to add it to my collection since I am a big fan of Alvin White.

Bill

Very nice buckle with a cool story about Mr. Jinks winning it.
Do you know if any of his displayed revolvers were engraved by Mr. White?

That is a nice piece and the story is as good as the buckle. Congrats Bill.
