Default Model 53

Quick question?
Is there any other model 22 LR cylinders that would fit a model 53 22 Jet
Or
Is it the original cylinder that shipped with some model 53s only.
Thanks

The Jet was deliberately fitted with a slightly longer cylinder in both the 22 Jet and the 22 LR versions. No other S&W cylinder will be a 'drop in' fit. A few aftermarket cylinders were made by a couple of advanced custom gunsmith organizations, but they have stopped that effort. ...

The cylinders that shipped with Model 53s were numbered to the guns. The aftermarket cylinders were not. They are available, but be prepared to spend nearly as much as a Model 17.
