Value
Just reading a 'What's my gun worth', similar model Thread Not to step on it, but generating the same question in my mind. Thus...
For valuation here:
Model 29 (no dash). SN S193xxx. Pix below. Bit dull appearance believed factory lubricant as shipped. Box showing half century + wear and gun w/very slight drag line on cylinder. Aside: Purchased some decades ago from private party widow settling 'H' estate.
Never fired it. A nice gun & not for sale.
Thanks and...
My take

Reason: Adding accidentally omitted "S" SN prefix.

In my neck of the woods (Florida) that is a $1200 to $1500 gun all day long. I am not an expert here though and I'm sure someone else will be on shortly for a valuation in their area of the country.

With everything you have there and considering the condition you described, that 29 would bring top dollar. But as far as pricing, I feel it's what the seller is willing to let it go for and what the buyer is willing to pay. I recently picked up a real nice Model 18 that's probably 99% finish and perfect mechanically. I was wearing my Jesse James mask and got it for 550.00. I've seen similar 18s (when you can find one) go for 7-800 and up. Prices can depend upon what area you're in, what pricing book you may research and so on. Some people may think I'm way off but I'd say your revolver should be priced around 1000.00. A few years ago, I picked up a real nice 19-4, CA Highway Patrol Commemorative, in the wood presentation box for 875.00. You just have to be in the right place at the right time.

If there is an "S" in front of the serial# (should be) that gun is quite valuable. Shoot a PM to "Doc44" (moderator here) for a substantially higher value for that package. Don't get much better than what you are showing. Joe

Thanks for the 'heads up'. Inadvertent omission & "S" SN prefix added. Thanks too for the referral suggestion. Yet matter only academic. Don't wish to disturb anyone beyond just the Thread inquiry. Still, quite 'interesting', the responses. Do appreciate yours!
Best!

It is difficult to tell the condition of the gun without more detailed pictures. But, with that said, I think the value may be more that those quoted above especially if the "dull" finish can be improved. The presentation case is probably worth $450-500 by itself. The "coke" grips will bring about the same as the case too. The original tools (although missing the brush) are valuable too.
If the gun is refinished, then all bets are off. JMHO.

Hard to judge from that picture........
Clean that gun up and get some Renaissance Wax on it...... then ask again w/ better pictures........from the picture it could be a $500 shooter (box and grips aside) or ......... 3X that .

It is the S&W high blue finish and IS almost new in box. Slight drag line on cylinder the only notable negative feature. Please just 'assume' such condition in any further valuation. I do appreciate the suggestions. Working from file photos and no plans to haul it out now to polish up since no plans to sell. Just trying to value.
Thanks again!

If the finish is 98% or so, that package would be over 2 grand on any of the auction sites.
Three years ago I sold a 29 no dash S s/n 6.5 incher for $1350 and a black box for $650. The 4 incher is more desirable.
