Considering buying one of these kits for my .41 Model 57.

Have you used them, and if so, your thoughts?

I've used Wilson springs , which are excellent, but I was setting a K frame up for IDPA, and did not mind that my revolver is picky about primers. The spring changes for competition were part of a through inspection and deburr, and I would not recommend just putting the lighter springs into a revolver and expecting stock reliability.

I run Wolff type 2 hammer springs and 13 lbs trigger return springs in all my smiths. All n frames. I also back out the strain screw just a little up to the point that I get no light strikes. These make a world of difference. I never used Wilson fir the smiths but I changed all that can be changed on my beretta 92 to Wilson springs and also excellent results.

I have not used Wilson's-----have used Miculek's.

DA is 7 lbs.---didn't check SA. One is cautioned to use Federal ammo/primers. I didn't have any----used WW.

By my records I have done some trigger work on 18 S&W revolvers. However that number becomes 20 if you count that I had to go into the two that I put Wilson Combat reduced mainsprings in and then put the originals back in after light primer strikes. They may work better if no polishing is done?

I have found that using a 13lb Wolff rebound spring with a 1/2 - 3/4 turn on the strain screw (and about 30 minutes of polishing the right parts), will yield a 8 - 9lb double action pull and about a 2lb single action pull. CCI, Winchester, and Federal primers all pop with this combo as well.

Put a set in my 57-6 classic about 4 weeks ago, totally changed the gun. Have had no issues with primer ignition. Ran about 150 rounds through it last two weekends. It goes bang with all my handloads. I put in the 13 pound return spring. Just purchased a 27 classic, it will get the same treatment

I was able to find Wolff's website for the 13# rebound spring, and this really helps as I would have never known about this mod without your inputs.
