Default Model 29/57 nickel-plating question

Did Smith & Wesson ever produce a nickel-plated Model 29 or 57 revolver where the front sight ramp (that holds the red insert) and the short section below it (not the full barrel rib, just the short section under the front ramp sight about an inch long) were kept blued, and not nickeled like the rest of the gun?

There is a 8 3/8" nickle-plated Model 57 currently on Armslist that has the front sight as described I am considering, but in every photo of OEM nickle-plated 29 or 57 S&Ws I've ever seen (and the nickle Model 57 I bought in 1981 and later sold) the entire gun is silver, except for the rear sight assembly, which is blued, and the trigger and hammer, which are case-hardened.

I am thinking this gun has been refinished. He wants $1250 for it, which is close to the going price for a factory-finished 57, but too high for a refinished one from what I've been reading.

Thoughts? Could this one indeed be OEM, or is that a sign that it has been refinished improperly?
