Very nice! Did you trade your lawn mower for it?

Man, I gotta get a new lawnmower.
Mine is skipping, the blade is dull, and it's plumb quit spitting out P&R revolvers.
Time to trade up.

This is actually a good plan. Sell the mower--buy a goat with a sweater to eat the lawn (since you are up north)--then spend the balance on revolvers!

Too bad it's a one-sided Smith.
If it has a second side, could we see another photo?
Thanks!

That's it?? That's all there is to this tale? You din't mow your lawn and you wound up with a 66?
If you was a woman, we'd have a name for you, and it ends in tease..

Exactly a tease - It is more likely the story goes he paid full price and gave the dealer an extra fifty to take the lawnmower.
Very nice revolver. I know you will love it just as much as I do my -2 snubby. Congrats~
Now back to our use of our imagination as to what transpired. There is always tomorrow to mow the lawn.

Obviously there is more to the story...care to share?
And, did the grass get cut AFTER you made the sweet (we are assuming) deal on the 66-1?

Yes Dear, is the most important phrase for a happily married man. See, it paid off in you getting a beautiful and useful revolver.

I stopped half way up our stairs yesterday and decided to check (on my phone) the LGS's used inventory page. They are very good about posting in "real time" ... an old gun shows up at the shop and they post it right away. Needless to say, I am checking my phone every five minutes.
Well, this here Model 66-1 pops up on this list. Not having one, I was immediately interested. But finances are going to be tight ... the wife just had shoulder surgery and, unlike Obama promised, even though we liked our previous plan, we couldn't keep it ... it went away .. and now we have a HUGE freakin' deductible. X$#@&!!
So I let out a mild swear word, knowing that I shouldn't buy it. My wife (bless her soul), at the top of the stairs, sees me looking at my phone and mildly swearing and she immediately puts two & two together and says, "Do they have a gun that you want? You should go get it. Life is short. Go buy it."
So, being an obedient husband, I went and bought it.
And now you know the rest of the story.
And yes, I did get the grass cut ... but only after cleaning my new stainless steel beauty. (Priorities!)

Boy, a wife that encourages you to buy a gun instead of cutting grass! What you do to deserve this? In your past life there must have been a least a person saved from a burning building or something close. Love the gun but not sure you should be praising the wife more!!

Oh, my, you need to make up a story. You know, you walked next door to your neighbor's barn to ask for a gas can. Inside your neighbor sat with his split window '63 Corvette, '45 Harley Davidson V Twin with original side car in Army green, Esso gasoline pump & can. You walk up for the can & he says, here, I do not need this anymore and he hands the revolver to you. And says: anything you need?

That's a nice score!
I've never has the cut the grass get a gun incident.
But then I don't have a "hot line" to my gun store

357magster, this is a tough crowd. We need pictures, a story and the price. We are like having a second wife.

Oh and as you found out, you have to include both sides in the picture. Enjoy your new 66.

Did the price include the custom scotch-brite finish? Still nice, nonetheless.
